Atorus Research announced the replication of the original CDISC Pilot project (2007) using the PHUSE Test Data Factory update data (2019) and the R programming language.

The package code has been released for public consumption to the open source community and is available now on GitHub.

The project represents more than 30 tables and is seen as a crucial step toward industry-wide adoption of open source, as the pilot program is broadly known to individuals in the industry. The replication was created using the commercial language R, a free and publicly available open source programming language, supported by the R Foundation for Statistical Computing.

“This is a major first step in our support and development of open source as a commercial alternative to statistical programming. We are making both the code and validation public, which means both pharmaceutical companies and CROs have access to promote a joint learning and use,” said Mark Penniston, CEO of Atorus Research.
